Keeping The Oldies New

It's been such a thrill watching a "Little Star" becoming a "Big Star" right before your eyes. Stay yourself and you'll go far! Love Vito (Vito Picone & The Elegants)

You have a true gift with your voice and also another gift, which is "humility". It comes through when you perform and lets people know what a sweet, uncomplicated child you are unlike many child performers. If you don't believe me, just watch the people watching you and you will see how much they enjoy your gift! ~ Mrs. M Long Island, NY

Kayla is a joy to watch and hear. She performs in a manner that captivates an audience. She has an ability to endear herself to her audience in a way that many seasoned performers have yet to grasp. To coin an old phrase, the sky's the limit for this talented young lady -Larry Chance (Larry Chance & The Earls)

Dear Kayla;  You are truly a "star".  You have an incredible voice and heart.  Words can not express how the "Lirette" family thanks you for the song you sang for Melanie through Songs Of Love. It's a family treasure.  You did a fantastic job and we can not wait to meet you.  We do plan on having a huge party for Melanie once she is home and settled and able to have folks around... Looking at next summer for a date (Would love to have you come and meet her).  Keep up the great work; and your voice will take you a LONG way in life.  Love Lisa and the entire Lirette Family

Imagine that! a role model, talented singer, intelligence, personality, and charisma! all rolled up into one young girl! Who would have thought my inspiration would be so young! You rock Kayla! unstoppable hope for this world of ours! Don't ever forget how you affect lives in a positive way just by living your own! -www.chazskinz.com

The Lovely Kayla, We love that you enjoy our generations music, you are keeping our  music alive. You have a lovely voice and a great personality that shows when you sing. Keep doing what you are doing and enjoy yourself! Herman, Bobby, Dickie & Tim (The Teenagers)We enjoyed how you did Goddy Goody!

Kayla Starr has been blessed with a sweet sounding voice. She seems to instinctively know how to approach the classic songs she has chosen to sing. Perhaps most importantly, Kayla loves to sing and entertain an audience and that love is returned to her when she performs. I sincerely hope Kayla will continue to develop the talent she was born with.. We enjoyed having her on Good Morning Hudson Valley. Bruce Owens, host Hudson Valley Talk Radio.

Her voice is smoother than cashmere. She sings in poodle skirts and wears a ponytail tied with a pink ribbon. Whilst most girls her age yell their lungs out, she whispers, chin down. She could have attempted Whitney, Mariah or Céline; instead she caresses Connie's, Brenda's or Skeeter's timeless classics. She draws suns in the air with her free hand while singing or does arpeggios on an invisible piano. She's one of my favorite singers. She's Kayla Starr--Didier, Vocal Coach, Paris France

I just have to say that you are amazing. There are a lot of people your age who are out there singing, but there are few who can even come close to your level of performance and musical talent.Hang in there, and follow your dreams. You have a lot going for you. -Cheers, Jane Ellen

What A Voice! - Jimmy Jay www.RewindShow.com

We enjoy you ever so much keep up the good work. You are a delightful young lady Till the Next show HugsJoe& Jeanette Vespe ( THE CAVALIERS)

You are a breath of fresh air in this uncertain world that we all live in. Please, don't ever let peer pressure, ignorance or occasional ridicule change who you are or what you are currently doing. There is a lot of potential for a career in the style of music that you have chose to sing. Don't let anyone else convince you to change your personality or stop singing the beautiful songs that are best suited for your voice, just because they might not understand that magical, wonderful era of music that you are trying to reintroduce to the world. Just focus on huge population of people who flock around you whenever you put on a public performance and marvel at your powerful voice. Think of how much they love you when they cheer and give you a standing ovation. Don't ever worry about the small group of kids at school within your age bracket who think that you should be singing today's music. If they had your talent and potential for entertaining and making people happy...they would probably be doing exactly what you're doing too.  Anyway...keep up the good work, Kayla...and stay focused on the positive that's going on in your life...not the negative. Negativity is just another form of ignorance that can interfere with your goals and your success. Hold your head up, Sweetie, and be proud of what you do.  You've already got what it takes to be a Starr...it's in your name! Love, your friend/fan...Dianne

You remind me a lot of Brenda Lee in her younger days! Keep on Rockin! -Totally Tess

I have just watched you singing "Gee Whiz" & I have tears streaming down my face - where does such emotion come from within someone so young. You are every inch the star little princess & I wish you well in whatever you do in life. You've made an old(ish) man very happy with your voice & made me smile &? cry. Thank You!!! - PJ United Kingdom

What a wonderful discovery has been made. You have an excellent talent and singing ability that one would only expect to find in someone much older with far greater experience, and your ability to interpret and perform these particular songs is uncanny. You convey a sense of connection with these songs characteristic of someone my age. This kind of interpretive ability points to a rare talent, and such talent is always a gift in the world! -Michael
