A true throwback voice of the oldies. Often compared to Connie Francis, Brenda Lee, Patsy Cline and others, Kayla passionately delivers the sounds of the 50’s and 60’s and brings audiences back in time. While many of Kayla’s peers are studying the current Top 40 tunes, Kayla is digging deep into her grandparents record collection to learn and appreciate the great songs of the 50’s and 60’s.
Sharing the stage with the original pioneers of Rock & Roll and Doo Wop, Kayla has performed at venues throughout the Tri-State area and is currently set to tour additional cities in the United States in 2010. Kayla is professional and authentic and intends on preserving this great genre of music. Kaylas appearances on stage, radio shows, and internet media have acquired her fanbases all over the world. Kayla was featured in New York Newsday in 2008, and USA Today Weekend Magazine in 2007.
When not performing, she is a normal 12-year-old girl. She enjoys dancing, acting, crocheting, texting, reading and shopping. She is an animal lover and believes in imposing stricter laws against animal abuse. Among other causes that she advocates, Kayla in constantly involved in childhood cancer organizations and events, volunteering wherever they need her. She lends her voice to Songs of Love , an organization that creates personalized CD’s for children facing tough medical conditions. She also visits nursing homes to share her gift with people who truly appreciate it!
